Betty Isbell's Obituary
Betty Lois Isbell, 77, of Vandalia, IL passed away on Thursday,
July 25, 2013 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30pm, Sunday, July 28,
2013 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Joe Lawson
officiating.  Friends and Family may gather at the cemetery at
1:00pm Sunday for a visitation prior to the service. 
Memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue.
Ms. Isbell was born December 19, 1935 in Vandalia, the daughter
of Lonnie and Helen (Crandall) Isbell.  Betty graduated from
Vandalia High School and then took classes at Kaskaskia College.
After college she was employed at Fayette County Hospital as a
Laboratory Technician.  She later worked with her sister as a
sales clerk at Jane Isbell Jewelry.  Betty was a past member
and past president of the fraternal order of Eagles Aerie Vandalia
#3901; past member of the American Legion Post #95 Auxiliary;she
was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.
Betty is survived by her sisters Doris and husband Ed Helm of
Vandalia, Donna and husband Wayne Cunningham of Prairie Village,
KS, and Sue and husband Don Musgrave of St. Charels, MO;
sister-in-laws Janice Isbell of Springfield, IL and Jean Isbell of
Charleston, SC; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine
companion Koko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tom Isbell,
Darrell Isbell, and Miller "Corky" Isbell; sister Jane Isbell.
