Etta was a staple of my childhood, and young adulthood. She was my sunday school teacher and my FAVORITE cook in elementary school. She is someone I looked up to as a young child. She was always quick with a hug, or a scolding if we needed it, and I often did. :) I spent many a summer day at her house on their farm, and had many a fun 4th of july church cookout there as well. Etta is someone I will never forget. My mother and I often wondered about her after she moved. I am so lucky to have had Etta be a part of my upbringing. I am a better person for it. Much love to her family and friends, she will be missed.

I was just thinking about Etta the other day. When I'd spend the night with Gail Bass, Etta would be there late in the day. She was no-nonsense but really sweet to me. She had her hand in raising many of us, and it says something if 40 years can go by and you wonder how she's doing. She was beautiful and a real lady. I liked her. I truly hope and pray she had many happy years.

Etta was my Mother's helper for over 20 years back in Salem, Mo. As a child, I use to wake in the am before school hearing Etta walking down our hallway going room to room and picking up our dirty laundry and always in a good mood. She was a loyal, diligent worker and the type of employee you would love to have today. She is a family member to us and we will miss her dearly; hopefully she is with my Mother who passed last June. Thank you Etta, for giving us sooo many fond memories and being a blessing in our lives growing up! Love eternal, Gail
