Etta Plank's Obituary
Etta Catherine Plank passed away at 6:55pm, Monday, March 10,
2014 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.
A Graveside service for Mrs. Plank will be held at 10:30am,
Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia with Pastor
Krista Stokke officiating. Memorials may be made to St. James
Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
Etta was born January 10, 1924 in Rutland, IL, the daughter of
Carl and Elsie (Harms) Arndt. She married Clark A. Plank of
May 3, 1943 in San Diego, CA. She worked as a baker for the
Salem Elementary School in Salem, MO. She was a member of St. James
Lutheran Church of Vandalia.
Mrs. Plank is survived by her daughter Deloris "Dee" and husband
James Wiswell of Mulberry Grove; brother LaVerne Arndt and wife
Marjorie of Elwin, IL; sister Linda and husband Bob Knebel of
Vandalia, IL; and granddaughter Jamie Wiswell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Carl
Arndt and George Arndt; sisters Mildred Elam and Elsie Ewers
