Linda Leidner's Obituary
Linda L. Leidner, 71, of Vandalia passed away at 4:15pm,
Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her home in Vandalia.
Services for Mrs. Leidner will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday,
October 26, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church of Vandalia with Rev. Dan
Rush officiating. A visitation will be held from Noon until time of
services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the
Old Capital Foundation Swimming Pool Fund or to the Jefferson
Primary/Vandalia Elementary School Libraries.
Linda was born on April 1, 1942, in Vandalia, the daughter of
James and Annalee (Gillespie) Depew. She married Tommy Joe
Leidner on May 18, 1963, together they had three children.
Linda retired from the Vandalia Community School District as an
office clerk, librarian, cafeteria helper and recess monitor.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Vandalia.
Mrs. Leidner is survived by her mother Annalee Depew of
Highland; husband Tommy Joe Leidner of Vandalia; son Tony Leidner
and wife Jennie of Vandalia; daughters Lisa and husband Terry
Robbins of Vandalia and Lori and husband Jim Oldham of Highland;
brother Larry Depew of Centralia; sisters Ardith and husband
Richard McFarland of Vandalia and Teresa and husband Ted Caldwell
of Highland; grandchildren Matthew, Morgan, and Logan Oldham,
Taylor, Emily, and Ashley Leidner.
She was preceded in death by her father James Depew.
