Paul Schaub's Obituary
Paul E. Schaub, 68, of Brownstown, passed away November 1, 2015
at his home.
Services for Mr. Schaub will be held at 11:00am, Friday,
November 6, 2015 atLiberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown with
Bishop Suey officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00pm,
Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Liberty Christian Church, rural
Brownstown and also 1 hour prior to services at the church
Friday. Following services the family will hold a private
burial at a later time.
Paul was born July 31, 1947 in Vandalia, the son of Evert L. and
Ruby C. (Wehrle) Schaub. He served in the US Army Sept.
1966-Sept. 1968 and married Rebecca "Becky" Kern on September 19,
1976. Paul worked for Caterpillar over 11 years, he was an
independent welder for 25 years, and he welded some recognizable
pieces here in Fayette County, including the Kaskaskia Supply
Dragon and the stage that hosts the Fayette County Fair's Pageant
and Talent Show. He later worked as a Road Maintainer for the
State of Illinois for 15 years before retiring in 2014.
He is survived by his wife Becky of Brownstown; sons John Schaub
and wife Jacy of Brownstown, and Mark Schaub and wife Erin of
Brownstown; daughter Staci and husband Jay Carroll of Vandalia;
brothers Dan and Jason Schaub both of Tomball, TX; sister Sandy
Calhoun of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Brooke Kistler, Nathan, Cade,
& Mason Schaub, Cole Horner, Levi, Jacob, & Annley
Schaub.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leon Schaub and
sister Sharon Seward.
